Starburst99: FUV Stellar Library Spectra
Starburst99
Empirical Far-UV Stellar Library
This web site presents the complete Far-UV empirical stellar library
implemented in the
Starburst99 code
for evolutionary spectral synthesis of
young stellar populations. Spectra are those of
O-type and B-type stars, between 1003.1 and 1182.678A, with a dispersion
of 0.127A. The spectral library is based on data from the
Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic
Explorer. Observed stars cover two different metallicities: our
Galaxy (solar) and the Magellanic Clouds (1/3 solar).
The current version includes stars from
O3-type to B0-type for the sub-solar metallicity, and from O3-type to
B3-type at solar metallicity. Wolf-Rayet stars are also included. All
spectra have been normalized and are
given in FITS format via compressed .GZ files. Note that another version
of this library has been added to the LavalSB code.
