What's new?

What is new December 2004: Starburst99 v5.0 has been made available to the public. This version offers new evolutionary tracks for old and low-mass stars (Vazquez & Leitherer 2005), as well as a high-resolution spectral library covering the full HRD (Martins et al. 2005).

September 2004: Lisa Kewley has moved to the beautiful islands of Hawaii, and with her went the Mappings server. Users should experience no difference in performance. Our interface continues to work as before when the photoionization models were calculated at CfA.

December 2002: Let's celebrate the launch of the new Starburst99-Mappings Portal. We are up and running, and open for business. This interface between Mappings at CfA and Starburst99 at STScI allows users to make fully consistent photo-ionization models with Mappings using ionizing spectra of stellar populations from Starburst99. Now calculating nebular emission lines is as easy as calculating the stellar SEDs.
