I work on transients, from supernovae to rapid events that evolve over days or less. To search for very rapid transients, I developed the Background Survey, which is applicable to Kepler and TESS data to perform the largest high cadence survey for transients. Outside of searching for rapid transients, I enjoy teaching and science outreach. I've given numerous talks to schools across Australia and New Zealand and run advanced education programs for primary and high school students with a passion for science.
