Abstract:
The Cramér-Rao bound is an analytical expression that describes the minimum
obtainable mean square error associated with a given estimate of a parameter.
This paper presents a compact and simple form of the bound for restoration
techniques such as an inverse or a Wiener filter estimate. We present both
1-D and 2-D examples.
