Blue stragglers and strongly interacting binaries are concentrated in the cores of globular clusters, while red giants avoid these regions. Determining why this is true is central to understanding the evolution of globulars, and the origins of blue stragglers and binary pulsars. I'll show a few recent HST results to emphasize how far observations have pushed theory, and how rapidly the field is progressing.
