I have worked here at the Institute since February 2005 and am a systems software engineer in the Archive Sciences Branch (ASB) of the Operations and Engineering Division. I am supporting the development of the iRODS file broker system and various other tasks related to JWST archive development.

Prior to joining ASB in April 2011, I worked in support of the HST and JWST Project Reference Database Management Offices (PRDMO) for the Project Reference Database Branch of OED, most recently holding primary responsibility for the JWST PRDS software. I made significant contributions to the development of the Data Information Subsystem tools for XREF, verification, and search, as well as to data item management, version management, and certification in the CR System, and to the Certification Package and Change Request Bundlers of the PRDS Toolkit. Finally, I was responsible for the design and implementation of the JWST PRDMO web site.

I have earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (Summa Cum Laude, 5/2001) and an M.S. in Software Engineering from Loyola College (4.0 GPA, 8/2006). In addition, I have completed training in topics including XML, XSLT, JSF, Java Best Practices, Java EE Design Patterns, Ajax, Web Services with Java and XML, Python, Enterprise Java with Spring and Hibernate, Astrostatistics with R, and HTML5.

I am currently enrolled at the Engineering for Professionals School of Johns Hopkins University and am pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Bioinformatics. I am also focusing on artificial intelligence topics. My projected completion date for the program is Spring 2012.
