Neat place. Just West of Union Memorial Hospital.

A great variety of food including Italian specialties, a whole page of Indian delicacies (including vegetarian), sandwiches, burgers, and even the old Blue Plate Specials. Several of us from Hopkins and Space Telescope eat here frequently. Each time we try something a little different (there are so many great things to chose), including the Tandoori Chicken, Gucchi Alu, Vegetable Biryani, and Blue Plate Specials like the more than ample Chicken Pot Pie and Roast Beef. Nothing to beef about here. And the deserts! Hot Fudge Sundae, Lemon Meringue pie, and Tamber's Brownie topped with ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and cherry. Everything has been excellent, with ample servings at reasonable prices. Refills of iced tea and lemonade included. And the place is non-smoking, a definite plus. Service can be a little slow on occasion when crowded, but no complaints in general. There are so many different and interesting things to try, we'll be returning to Nifty Fifties often. We've found a real winner here.
