How efficiently do radio galaxies produce jets?
I will present an ongoing analysis of the efficiency with which the central engines of radio galaxies hosting low-luminosity AGNs generate jet power (i.e. the kinetic efficiency), based on Chandra observations. Preliminary results indicate that the low power (<1E45 erg/s) central engines are quite efficient in generating outflowing energy in jets given the available gas supply, with efficiencies >50 per cent being favored. I will discuss the implications of these results and potential caveats.
