JWebbinar 47 - NIRCam and MIRI Calibration Update
About Event
Location
Virtual
Time
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM EDT
Description
Calibration of the JWST science instruments is an ongoing process, continually evolving as better data processing algorithms have been designed and in response to changes onboard the Observatory. After almost 4 years of normal science operations, an update on the performance and calibration quality of NIRCam and MIRI will be provided. We will review the status of calibration and pipeline products for various observing modes, including recent improvements in flux and wavelength calibration, spectroscopy, astrometry, and coronagraphy. The first half will cover NIRCam, the second half will cover MIRI updates.
