Title: Finding Life in the Universe: Where Are We - And Where Are We Going?
Presentation Summary:
The search for life in the Universe is one of the key questions humanity is aiming to understand and answer --- hopefully sooner rather than later. But --- where are we on this search right now, and where are we going? Do we have any chance of detecting life out there in the near future? In this talk, Dr. Espinoza will share perspectives on where we are currently standing on this quest from an observational perspective, including how the Hubble and Webb Space Telescopes are helping us pave the way to answer this question. Dr. Espinoza will conclude on some remarks about how future telescopes are our best bet at getting firm constraints on the possibility of life around planets orbiting other stars.
