Roman Research Nexus (Artist’s Concept)

About This Image
Caption
The Roman Research Nexus represents a seismic shift in how research is done: seamlessly in the cloud with ongoing, real-time collaboration among anyone in the world.
All researchers will be able to actively analyze the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope’s data — none of the telescope’s data will ever be held exclusively by any user for any period of time.
Within its first five years, Roman will collect 50 times more data than the Hubble Space Telescope has over the past 35 years. This is due in large part to Roman’s near-infrared Wide Field Instrument, which images an area of the sky 200 times larger than Hubble’s near-infrared camera.
