JWST ETC Version 1.3 Has Been Released

The JWST Exposure Time Calculator (ETC) version 1.3 is now live. This release includes a wide range of usability enhancements, accuracy improvements, and new features, including:

  • A “Quick Start” option for new users
  • Information on a pixel-by-pixel basis when hovering the cursor over images
  • Faster calculation speeds
  • One-click access to ETC calculations from APT
  • Improved consistency in nomenclature between ETC and APT
  • New “Groups before Saturation” plot and Report values
  • New power-law spatial profile
  • Links to appropriate documentation throughout the web application
  • Expansion over Instrument Setup parameters for more observing modes, including MIRI/MRS
