The JSTUC Responds To Community Concerns about the Cycle 1 Proposal Schedule

Members of the JWST community have recently raised concerns regarding the new Cycle 1 proposal schedule. Following discussions, the JWST Users Committee (JSTUC) has recommended that STScI implement a mechanism for proposers to request an extension if they are impacted by unexpected events close to the proposal deadline. The full recommendation can be found on the JSTUC page. STScI will develop a procedure for extension requests in conjunction with the JSTUC, and will inform the community by mid-September.

See the JSTUC page for additional information.
