JWST Cycle 1 General Observer and Archival Research Budgets Announced

On November 1, 2021, U.S.-affiliated JWST Cycle 1 General Observer (GO)/Archival (AR) investigators received notifications of their approved budgets. In total, NASA has committed $60 million to support data reduction and analysis of JWST Cycle 1 GO/AR programs. This budget reflects the scope and complexity of JWST observations and is the largest awarded by NASA in support of a GO/AR program. NASA anticipates maintaining a similar level of funding in future cycles.
