The 7th JSTUC Meeting Focused on Preparation for Science with JWST

The JWST Users Committee (JSTUC) met on December 9-11, 2020 to discuss a variety of topics following the close of the Cycle 1 GO/AR Call for Proposals. The meeting consisted of:

  • Updates from NASA HQ, GSFC, STScI, ESA, and CSA
  • Cycle 1 GO/AR program updates, including submission statistics and TAC preparations
  • Presentations on the commissioning process and communication about on-orbit performance
  • Data Analysis training plans and a report from the Data Analysis Advisory Group
  • Updates from the instrument teams
  • Discussion of expanding community inputs to the JSTUC
