About This Article

During the 242nd meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS), the astronomical community will receive updates on JWST's current status and learn about preparations for future cycles. A variety of events are offered, including a Proposal Planning Workshop to provide an overview of the JWST proposal and planning tools in advance of the Cycle 3 Call for Proposals due October 27, 2023.

Here is a list of JWST-related activities at AAS242:

  • JWST Proposal Planning Workshop on Sunday, June 4, 2023 (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. MDT)
  • JWST Town Hall on Monday, June 5, 2023 (6:30 - 7:30 p.m. MDT)
  • Special session: First Results from the JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 (10 - 11:30 a.m. MDT)
  • JWST at the STScI Exhibitor Booth from June 4-8 (during regular booth hours)
