January 20, 2023

About This Article

NIRISS experienced a timeout on Sunday, January 15th, and the instrument is therefore currently unavailable for prime and coordinated parallel observations. We are conducting tests and executing a number of pure parallel observations to determine the cause. There is no danger to the hardware. Observers will be kept informed of any developments.
