ETC 6.0 Provides Updates To Support Cycle 6 Call for Proposals

About This Article

The JWST Exposure Time Calculator (ETC) version 6.0 is now live. This release includes several useful new capabilities and features, including:

  • Added support for NIRCam Imaging and NIRSpec BOTS Prism superstripe modes
  • Improved background modeling for MIRI and NIRISS SOSS modes
  • Updated PSFs, revised calculation defaults, and sample/science workbooks
  • A variety of new reported values, updated warnings, and other user interface improvements
  • Several backend performance enhancements
