June 1, 2026

About This Article

During the 248th meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS), the astronomical community will receive updates on JWST's science highlights, science operations, trending metrics, and other recent news. We encourage the user community to directly engage with us by attending talks and stopping by our booth for a variety of resources including one-on-one “Ask-an-Expert” sessions.

The JWST STScI-led events at the AAS248 will include an update from STScI director, Jennifer Lotz, at the STScI Town Hall on June 17, an Exhibitor Theater Talk, and a JWST corner at the STScI Booth from June 14 to 18 (during regular booth hours). Other JWST-related events include a plenary session, titled “Common Worlds, Uncommon Complexity: Sub-Neptune and Super-Earth Atmospheres in the JWST Era”, given by Eliza Kempton, University of Chicago.
