With JWST Cycle 6 proposals due September 30^th, it is not too early to start working on your submission. STScI provides many online resources to assist with your JWST proposal preparation:

• The Cycle 6 Call for Proposals page contains the most complete and up-to-date information about proposing for time in this next cycle.
• For a general guide to start planning JWST observations, review Getting Started with Planning JWST Observations. 
• JWST User Documentation (JDox) includes the latest instrument and pipeline updates. This JDox page lists instrument updates and new modes for Cycle 6. JDox also includes an extensive list of additional resources.
• Our JWST Observer YouTube channel contains short video tutorials to help you get started with the Exposure Time Calculator (ETC), Astronomer’s Proposal Tool (APT), and data analysis.
• The MAST JWST Duplicate Observation Search helps investigators determine if observations they plan to propose are likely to duplicate existing or planned observations.
• The JWST Interactive Sensitivity Tool (JIST) is intended for quick feasibility checks, by providing quick access to the point source sensitivities of the observatory.
• Other JWST software tools are available to assist users as they investigate various proposal options for viability.
• The JWST Observer website also provides a variety of resources relating to the JWST science ecosystem, including:
  • Current Approved Observing Programs by cycle and category
  • The Program Information tool for details on specific approved programs
  • JWebbinars materials on past data analysis topics and information on two upcoming sessions in support of Cycle 6
  • The JWST Pocket Guide, which provides a top-level summary of the science instrument capabilities
  • Observing Schedules listing the planned short-term schedules 
  • Recent refereed publications using JWST data on the Science Publications page
  • The Data Analysis Toolbox, a variety of tools to ensure the astronomical community is able to download, analyze, and interpret JWST observations for their research
  • The Laboratory Astrophysics Resources are available to assist in analyzing JWST observations and developing JWST proposals
  • Publicly available and documented tools developed by the community to support proposal planning, data processing, and analysis
  • Technical Documents, sharing the most recent instrument reports and commissioning papers
• Join the bi-monthly Webb Office Hours to ask questions and directly interact with a team of STScI JWST experts.
• The JWST Help Desk is available to help you with any specific questions.
