James Muzerolle
James is an AURA Scientist in the Instruments Division. His research interests focus on young stars and protoplanetary disks, trying to better understand the accretion process and how it connects to the formation and early evolution of stars and planets. On the observational side, James uses both imaging and spectroscopy across a wide range of wavelengths from the UV and optical to the mid-infrared. He also works on radiative transfer modeling of magnetospheric accretion flows and disks. James supports the JWST mission as a member of the NIRSpec instrument team, where he serves as deputy team lead and works primarily on data calibration and pipeline development.
