      <Title>Resolved Stellar Populations and the Multi-Wavelength Structure of Dwarf Galaxies in the Frontier Fields</Title>
      
      <Abstract>A complete understanding of the physical processes at play as dwarf galaxies interact with dense environments is critical to a full understanding of galaxy evolution - particularly as we continue to discover new and unusual dwarf galaxies like Ultra-Diffuse Galaxies in clusters. Many processes are known to affect dwarfs in cluster environments, such as ram-pressure stripping, tidal stripping, and strangulation; however, exactly how these processes transform the structure and morphology of dwarf galaxies as they are accreted onto a cluster remains an important open question. To address this question, we propose an in-depth multi-wavelength analysis of the color gradients and integrated structural parameters of dwarf galaxies in the Hubble Frontier Fields. Measurements of the stellar-population gradient and overall structure of dwarfs, both in the cluster centers and outskirts possible with this analysis, will act as powerful tests of models describing the evolution of dwarf galaxies in clusters beyond z=0. Additionally, this analysis will provide the first constrains on the abundance and properties of nuclear star clusters beyond the local Universe - exploring a valuable new direction for understanding the formation and evolution of these objects. Precise measurements of the color gradient and integrated structure of dwarf galaxies enabled by the high-resolution images of the HST Frontier Fields will provide a fundamental understanding of the evolution of dwarf galaxies in clusters. The multi-wavelength aperture photometry and morphological catalogs produced as part of this analysis are extremely valuable for the community to fully exploit the power of the Frontier Fields.</Abstract>

      <TeamExpertise>Our team has a great deal of experience using HST data to better understand galaxy evolution. Our expertise spans all aspects of this proposal, from the data analysis to comparisons with models and simulations. Dr. Carleton has expertise in semi-analytic models of the effects of environment on galaxy evolution. Dr. Guo has expertise in measuring morphologies of galaxies in HST and conducting stellar-population analysis of high-z galaxies. Dr. Bell has expertise in analyzing morphological changes of galaxies at z&gt;0. Dr. Cooper has expertise in comparing models of the effects of environment on galaxy evolution with observations. Dr. Dekel has expertise in comparing hydrodynamic simulations to observations of galaxies. Dr. Faber is the PI of the Cosmic Assembly Near-IR Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey (CANDELS) and has expertise in using HST surveys to better understand the physics of galaxy evolution. Dr. Fontanta has expertise in using HST observations to study cluster environments at z&gt;0. Dr. Jiang is an expert on coomparing models and simulations to data. Dr. Koekemoer has expertise in analyzing deep HST data. Dr. Koo has expertise developing models to understand morphological changes within galaxies using HST. Dr. Liu has expertise analyzing resolved stellar populations at z&gt;0 using HST. Dr. Merlin has experise analyzing HST data and has developed the aperture-photmetry code that we will use for this analysis.</TeamExpertise>
