      <Title>How shiny is HD209458b in the NUV?</Title>
      
      <Abstract>Recent CHEOPS detection of reflected light on HD209458b indicated a geometric albedo consistent with a clear atmosphere and Rayleigh scattering from hydrogen. However, broadband photometry could not provide any additional spectral information. We propose to follow up with eclipse observation using STIS G430L in spatial scan mode to measure the Rayleigh scattering slope in the blue part of the spectrum and search for any aerosol spectral features.</Abstract>

      <TeamExpertise>PI Guangwei Fu is an expert in the analysis of HST WFC3 and STIS transmission and emission observations, including population-wide surveys with such data. He is is PI of 2 recent HST programs and Co-I in 5 upcoming JWST programs.

Co-I Prof. Drake Deming is an expert in exoplanet atmosphere characterization using space telescopes. He lead the very first studying using HST WFC3 in spatial scan mode on HD189733b and XO-1 in 2013. He is also the PI of numerous past successful HST exoplanet programs (ID: 12181, 12449, 12495, 12844, 14260) with a total of 244 orbits allocated.

Co-I Prof. Eliza Kempton is an expert in exoplanet atmosphere modelling and retrieval.

Co-I Prof. David Sing is an expert in observational exoplanet atmosphere characterization and the PI of the largest HST exoplanetary treasury program (ID: 14767) with 498 orbits allocated.

Co-I Dr. Peter Gao is an expert in exoplanet atmosphere cloud/haze modelling.

Co-I Prof. Lothringer is an expert in both observing with HST, as well as atmosphere modeling and retrieval with PHOENIX.
