We propose a capstone observation of SN1987A using WFC3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observations Description ------------------------ We will perform deep WFC3/UVIS imaging with just the F657N filter (H-alpha plus NII), as much to detect the surrounding Tarantula Nebula as SN1987A itself. The dither pattern is essentially a stretched gap dither. The two main pointings cover each others chip gaps, but also stretch the field of view by almost 50 percent while still on one guide star acquisition.
