The BVI filters will provide color that highlights regions of newer star formation. Additionally, data from the three filters can be combined into a "white light image" which can be used to further accentuate the brightest regions. We propose a single WFC3 pointing which will adequately cover the entire object at any Position Angle. In the event of needing to retake a failed visit, we will attempt to match the PA; in the event that this is not possible to schedule in Reduced Gyro Mode, we will crop and zero-pad the image background as necessary so that no part of the image is missing one or more colors. Targets and dither strategies are selected to minimize the impact of variation of the PA. We will also employ a dither pattern which fills the chip gaps and enables cosmic ray rejection. Most of the color composite will derive from the varying stellar temperatures and obscuration from dust in different parts of the disk. With exposure times calculated from template spiral galaxies within the ETC and DSS magnitudes, we can achieve the high signal-to-noise desired with 6 orbits. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 17883( 6) - 29-Jan-2025 20:53:07 - [ 2] TARGET LIST Fixed Targets ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tar| Target | Target | Target |Coord | Radial | Flux data No | Name | Description | Position |Eqnx | Vel. | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 NGC-5335 GALAXY, BAR RA=13H52M56.9152S, J2000 V = 14 DEC=+02D48'42.00" Reference Frame: ICRS Comments: This object was generated by the targetselector and retrieved from the SIMBAD database.
