Abstract This is a DD Target of Opportunity program to obtain HST WFPC2 images of the superluminal transient X-Ray source GRO J1655-40 [20] (X-Ray Nova Scorpii 1994) following the current major high energy outburst which started on March 20, 1995. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observations Description ------------------------ This program consists of 2 visits, one orbit each. Each visit will obtain a full orbit of WFPC2 F675W images of 30seconds in duration. The two visits will be separated by 24-48 hours and as close as possible to 30degrees orientation. These observations are planned assuming a central source with V=14. If the central source remains at V~16 fewer but longer exposures will be obtained.
