Abstract To make a very deep high-resolution image in V and I covering the location of the optical transient and the nearby 'companion' using the WFPC2. The immediate goals of our observation are: (i) To constrain the magnitude of the variable object to the deepest possible flux levels that can be reached in a reasonable exposure time. (ii) To obtain the best morphological information on the 'companion'. The data will have no proprietary period. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observations Description ------------------------ Observations will be taken in F606W and F814W filters with WFPC2. Real Time Justification ----------------------- This candidate gamma ray burster is declining fast in brightness and the observations need to be done as soon as possible.
