Abstract The Hubble Heritage Project plans to make observations of the globular cluster NGC 6397 to compliment archival data of this object. Previous WFPC2 data from proposals 5929 (King) and 7335 (Grindlay) that shared relatively the same pointing only imaged one half of the cluster. We wish to obtain observations of the other half of the cluster taken with one additional pointing. Dithered UBI images will be taken. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observations Description ------------------------ The new pointing coordinates were derived from use of the Visual Target Tuner and allow the maximum coverage possible given the orient available between days 01.302 and 01.310. This object goes into solar exclusion on day 311. Filter selection and exposure times mimic the archival data. A unique 8-point POS TARG dither pattern will be applied for more accurate photometry and astrometry results and are inconsequential for processing of a final color image.
