Simple Stellar Population Atlas
Access to the files for this Atlas in MAST HLSP
The Simple Stellar Population Atlas include models of Simple Stellar Population (SSP) spectra, based on the Flexible Stellar Population Synthesis models . The isochrone model used is from MIST, spectral SED library used is from BaSeL 3.1, and the IMF is from Kroupa and as described in Conroy et al. (2009). The TP-AGB spectra were based on Lançon & Mouhcine (2002) and Aringer et al. (2009). Nebular emission for ages <= 10 Myr is based on Cloudy models, and AGB circumstellar dust emission is based on Villaume et al. 2014.
The SEDs are available for a range of parameters:
- log(age) of 6.0 - 10.0, with a step of 0.25, plus log(age) = 10.1.
- [Z/H] ranges between -2.5 - 0.0 with a step of 0.5, plus [Z/H] = +0.25.
The file names have the following convention:
- ssp_logage6.00_zhm2.50.fits for log(age) = 6.0 and [Z/H] = -2.5:
- ssp_logage7.25_zhp0.25.fits for log(age) = 7.25 and [Z/H] = +0.25
Table 1 provides with the full list of the models offered here. For each file the wavelength has units of \(\dot{A}\), and fluxes tabulated in units of \(erg\ s^{-1}\ cm^{-2}\ \dot{A}^{-1}\) (at a distance of 10 pc).
