WFC3/UVIS G280 Calibration and Reference Files

If you are using slitlessutils for G280 grism reduction and analysis, all the necessary calibration and reference files are accessible from the software directly.  See the configuration documentation for slitlessutils and/or the grism data analysis webpage.

The configuration files presented on this page are in the correct format to be used with the HSTaXe extraction software, which is no longer a STScI-supported package.

To use these deprecated calibration products with HSTaXe, copy them into a directory and set your AXE_CONFIG_PATH environment variable to point to that directory.  The configuration files (v.2.5) with wavelength and trace calibration information were created using in-flight calibration data with details given in WFC3 ISR 2017-20. The sensitivity files were generated by the calibration presented in WFC3 ISR 2020-09. The older versions of the reference files, also provided here, were created using ground calibration data (WFC3 ISR 2009-01).

Callout

Note: V2.5 of the configuration files present the +1 and -1 orders in both CHIP1 and CHIP2 which are fully calibrated over the entire field of view. Wavelength and trace calibration for the zeroth and higher orders are provided in WFC3.UVIS.G280.CHIP1.V3.0.conf and WFC3.UVIS.G280.CHIP2.V3.0.conf but these files are not compatible with HSTaXe at present. Please stay tuned for updates regarding these files.
