Nicmos PSF Library Query Tool ... Help

To query the Nicmos PSF library you must supply at least one input parameter. Either fill in a box, or choose an option.

Observation Rootname
The first 9 characters of the value of the keyword FILENAME in the science header.

Proposal ID
Four digit integer value of science header keyword PROPOSID.

Observation Date
The date of observation, obtained from science header keyword DATE-OBS, in format mmm dd yyyy, e.g., Jan 13 1998.

Camera + Filter combination
The camera and filter in use are given in the science header keywords CAMERA and FILTER.

Position on Detector
The approximate (x,y) centriod position of the PSF star on the detector in pixels. Values range from (0,0) to (256,256).

Search Radius
The acceptable distance, in pixels, of the PSF star from the specified (x,y) position on the detector.

Array Readout Mode
The readout mode is available in the science header keyword OBSMODE. Currently, only MUTLIACCUM data is populated in the database.

Sample Sequence
The MultiAccum exposure time sample sequence name is stored in the science header keyword SAMP_SEQ.

In-focus camera
The commanded camera focus, science header keyword FOCUS; possible values include 'CAMERA 1', 'CAMERA 2', 'CAMERA 3', 'CAMERA 1-2', and 'CAMERA 2-3'.

PAM Focus position
The value of the science header keyword NPFOCUSP.

Mounting Cup Temperature
Mounting cup temperature in degress K: Header keyword NDWTMP11 for NIC1 or NIC2; NDWTMP13 for NIC3. This keyword is found in the spt files.

Target Name
Science header keyword TARGNAME. This search supports wildcards, e.g., '*PE330*'.

Exposure Time
The total exposure time in seconds, stored in the science header keyword EXPTIME.

Count rate in peak pixel
The count rate in the peak pixel in a circular aperture about the centroid of the PSF star. The radius of the aperture depends on camera:
  • NIC1 has a radius of 12 pixels
  • NIC2 has a radius of 7 pixels
  • NIC3 has a radius of 5 pixels

Counts in aperture
The total count rate of (star - sky) in a circular aperture about the centroid of the PSF star. The radius of the aperture depends on camera:
  • NIC1 has a radius of 12 pixels
  • NIC2 has a radius of 7 pixels
  • NIC3 has a radius of 5 pixels
