STIS PSF Library Query Tool ... Help

To query the STIS PSF library you must supply at least one input parameter. Either fill in a box, or choose an option. Near the bottom of the page, you may customize your output criteria.

Observation Name

Supply a 18 character rootname like: O4HS01RRQ_FLT.FITS

Filetype

A selection of ANY will give all values or choose a particular value.

Proposid

To select on a proposid, enter a 4 digit number.

Exposure Start Time

For the exposure start time, enter a date, in either MJD or calendar format (MMM DD YYYY). Both values of upper and lower must be entered.

Exptime

For the exposure start time, enter a range of numbers, in seconds. Both values of upper and lower must be entered.

PSF Origin

A selection of ANY will give all values or choose a particular value.

Detector

Choose one of the options.

Aperture

Supply an aperture name.

Propaper

ddd Supply an prop aperture name.

Filter

Choose one of the filters.

Pixel Factor

A selection of ANY will give all values or choose a particular value.

CCDGAIN

A selection of ANY will give all values or choose a particular value.

X Center/Y Center/Radius

Enter both an xcenter, a ycenter, and a radius from that point. (1-2048). These numbers correspond to the actual pixel position on the CCD or MAMA.

RA/Dec/Radius PSF

Enter a value for Right Ascension in(HR Min Sec); a value for Declination in (+/- arc-deg arc-min arc-sec) or decimal degrees.; and a value for the search radius in (+/- arc-deg arc-min arc-sec) or decimal degrees.

There is an additional complication with the RA and Dec. While they will both be stored in the database in units of decimal degrees, users wil want the option of entering them in the traditional H:M:S DEG:arc-min:arc-sec format. This is a standard astronomcial problem, so an algorithm to detect which format the input is in and convert should be easy to find and adapt. For example: RA=00 13 14.15 and DEC=+15 11 01.0 converts to RA=3.30895828 and Dec=15.18361593.

Target Name

Enter a target name.

Peak Gaussian Fit

Enter a value for the peak fit.

Peak Intensity

Enter a value for the peak intensity. Both values of upper and lower must be entered.

Saturatd

A selection of ANY will give all values or choose a particular value.

Focus Range

Both values of upper and lower must be entered for the focus.

Color Type

A selection of ANY will give all values or choose a particular value.

Color Val Limit

Both values of upper and lower must be entered.

BV Color Limit

Both values of upper and lower must be entered.

Output Parameter List

Select the select on everything button, and all fields will be returned. Otherwise, there are a number of pre-selected fields that you will get automatically. You can toggle these on and off, in addition to selecting other fields. This is strictly for output.
