Christopher Stark

Associate Astronomer

Stark is an associate scientist in the telescopes group. His work focuses on the search for Earth-like exoplanets and understanding the requirements for future exoEarth-characterizing missions. He also works on observing, modeling, and understanding the composition and architecture of debris disks, the dust generated by asteroids and comets around other stars.

Science Interests:

  • Composition and optical properties of circumstellar dust
  • Planet-disk interactions and debris disk structure
  • Science yield estimation for future exoplanet direct imaging missions

Research Topics: Debris disks, Exozodiacal dust, Exoplanets, Exoplanet detection methods
