Ian Wong is a staff scientist at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) working on the JWST/MIRI instrument team. As an observational astronomer leveraging some of the most powerful ground- and space-based telescope facilities currently in operation, Dr. Wong carries out detailed studies of small bodies in the middle and outer Solar System, such as Jupiter Trojans, Hildas, and Kuiper belt objects, as well as atmospheric characterization of exoplanets using phase curves, secondary eclipses, and transmission spectroscopy.
