Ravi is a Support Scientist on the HST/COS team. He is an astronomer with research experience in wavelength regimes spanning the far-UV to the far-IR. He has been on the scientific staff of the SOFIA, SPEAR/FIMS, and FUSE projects.

Science Interests:

  • Emission line nebulae - supernova remnants, HII regions, Planetary Nebulae - and abundances
  • Mass loss and the circumstellar environment during the AGB to PNe (or SNe?) stages of stellar (including symbiotic system) evolution
  • Interstellar and circumstellar processes - shocks, photoionization, dust formation and destruction
