The main topics that I'm working on are related with massive hot stars.
a) Massive binaries: the empirical mass-luminosity relation is relatively
well known only for star with <20 M
. The mass determination for the
most luminous stars via comparison with numerical evolutionary tracks or
mass-luminosity relation, lacks the necessary empirical check.
Our interest is performing a search of massive binaries in Magellanic Clouds,
and the Milky Way which would provide empirical estimates of their masses.
b) Massive stars groups: the knowledge of the stellar content of massive
star forming region is important because it is linked with others important
problems like the IMF and stellar mass limit among others. We are performing
a detailed study of the stellar content of the more closest starburst: 30
Doradus, in the LMC, putting emphasis on the new stellar generation, where
massive proto-star candidates are placed.
