Lodging for Symposium Participants

Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements after April 1. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Inn at the Colonnade, a short walk from the Institute. Rooms have also been reserved at the Cross Keys. A shuttle will be provided for guests at the Cross Keys.

Before April 1, you can register and reserve a hotel room through Cheryl Schmidt at the reduced rates. The rooms will be released after this date. Rooms are limited at both hotels, so register early! The required deposit is equivalent to one night's stay.

The registration form will ask for names of people you plan to room-share, however coordinating a shared room is your responsibility, not STScI's.

Parking Information for Local Participants

For local participants requiring parking, obtain a parking pass and directions to the overflow lot from the front desk at STSCI. The overflow lot is west (right) on San Martin Drive about 600m. Take the first possible right hand turn, then make a 2nd hard right onto a driveway. There are several speed bumps and an STSCI sign marking the lot. A wooden staircase returns to San Martin Drive only about 150m from the front door.
