As the interim head of the Business Resource Center (BRC) at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), Mrs. Lindsay Villa provides leadership, planning, and strategic direction across all BRC functions and business operations, including procurement, contracts, sponsored programs, business support and systems, finance, and facilities management. In this role, she develops and executes strategic projects designed to strengthen divisional efficiency, leads business negotiations with key stakeholders, and maintains overall contractual and audit compliance requirements.

From 2021 to 2024, Mrs. Villa served as deputy head of the BRC, where she oversaw key division branches including procurement, contracts, sponsored programs, and facilities.

Mrs. Villa joined STScI in 2018 as a procurement and subcontracts manager, overseeing administration, management, and compliance of procurement and vendor activities. Her previous experience managing and negotiating contracts with NASA and other government agencies prepared her for the institute’s complex contracting environment. She also brings a strong background in finance and personnel management, which supports her work in a multi-skillset organization with sophisticated funding and budgeting needs.

Prior to joining STScI, Mrs. Villa spent 10 years in financial management and government contract administration roles.

Mrs. Villa is a Certified Federal Contracts Manager and a member of the National Contract Management Association.
