Subject: RE: BCC 1960 website Date: Sun, 23 Apr 2006 23:13:40 -0800 From: "Paul Todd" To: bond AT stsci.edu Hello, Howard I am presently a paralegal/researcher for the law firm Walker & Levesque LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, working primarily on an anti-trust lawsuit against BP and ExxonMobil, alleging violations of the Sherman Act in refusing to market the Alaska North Slope's natural gas (see http://www.allalaskagasline.com/). Our co-counsel are Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, which represented Vice President Al Gore in the 2000 Florida ballot-counting dispute. The firm and my wife, Mary, (Claremont, NH) let me out to teach Alpine skiing once or twice a week; a friend's wife, a teacher of the blind, interested me in 1987 in teaching skiing to individuals with disabilities. I was saddened to learn of the death in 2003 of music teacher/conductor Chester Petranek, who mentored many of us in orchestra and band at BCC and the County Youth Orchestra, then took many of us with him to State Youth Orchestra in 1960 when he was selected its music director. Thanks to Karen Fite for the news of Margaret Casey, with whom we shared AP English. Perhaps some of you knew my relative Mary Todd, BCC '59. She believes in Fidel Castro's revolution and lives near Havana, where she continues to tutor students in English and other subjects, and translates articles and books into English. Her son, Yassir Laurence Aguila Todd, spent a summer with us in Anchorage before enlisting (much to his mother's displeasure) in the US Marine Corps. E-mail: paulto AT acsalaska.net
