BPZ v1.99.3 Known Issues

IRAC photometry -- The SED templates supplied in this release are undefined beyond 25,600Å.  Thus they are extrapolated (poorly and too low) at these wavelengths.  Photo-z are pushed out to z > 0.4 for low-z objects with IRAC photometry.  We advise against using IRAC photometry in photo-z estimation as they provide little (if any) benefit, regardless of the analysis method used (Hildebrandt10).  If you do use IRAC photometry, please use a template set which covers those wavelengths.  (Users may inquire if we have updated templates useful for this purpose.)

Stars / AGN -- We do not attempt to discriminate among normal galaxies, stars, and AGN.

Prior undefined for i < 20 -- Performance for bright objects can be affected (-Sam Schmidt 12/9/08).  Brighter objects are assumed to have i = 20 for the purposes of the prior.

Interpolation between SED templates -- between fluxes (not normalized?) rather than magnitudes as in other methods (-Sam Schmidt 12/9/08)

-N_PEAKS >= 2 bug for zb ~ 0.01 ? -- Objects assinged zb ~ 0.01 are also assigned: zbmin = 0.08, zbmax = 0.01 (-Marc Rafelski 3/9/09)

Very special thanks to Marc Rafelski, Sam Schmidt, and Perry Gee for extensive testing, pointing out issues, and uncovering bugs in earlier versions.
