In this directory, I have places some quick-n-easy FORTRAN routines that
work great from the command line:

 catheader   -- just takes a fits image and outputs the header, line by line
                including the headers of extensions

 readheader  -- read through the header of a fits image and grab the keyword
                values that Jay considers to be most important, such as
                pointing, date, filter, exptime, etc.  There are also options 
                for outputting the POS-TARG, APERTURE, etc.  Can be run on an
                input list.

 probefits   -- goes through a fits image and any extensions and reports on
                the sizes/types
