This is an example of cosmological simulation run with a version of Hydra (Couchman et al. 1995, ApJ 452, 797). The model is Omega=1 CDM Omega_b=0.06 with Schmidt law star formation, seen at the present time. The displayed box size is 12.5 Mpc. The simulation was run on a Sun Ultrasparc 30. A few groups of galaxies are visible. Dark matter is shown in black, gas in red and stars in blue. The upper right diagram shows radial velocities with respect to a point at the center of the region.
