Se solicita a las personas e instituciones que no sean AURA/STScI y a los beneficiarios del STScI cuyo trabajo fue financiado por la NASA declarar en el momento que aportan materiales para distribución en sitios web del STScI si desean hacer algún reclamo sobre restricciones de derecho de autor. Si no lo hacen, se supondrá que no se hace ningún reclamo sobre restricciones de derecho de autor. Por supuesto, dichos individuos e instituciones recibirán el crédito adecuado por sus aportes.
