New Documentation for Users with Accepted JWST Programs Is Now Available

About This Article

A new JDox page, titled "Observing with JWST," was published on May 20, 2024. This page is intended for observers with accepted JWST observing programs and describes the process of finalizing their observations for scheduling and execution. It includes details on the  following:

  • Making updates to the APT file
  • When and how to make an official change request
  • What to expect during instrument technical review
  • Observing best practices
  • Observation scheduling
  • When and how to request a repeat observation

Users with an accepted program are encouraged to contact their dedicated Instrument Scientist and Program Coordinator or submit a ticket to the JWST Help Desk if they have any questions or concerns.
